We decided to make the best crab cake we could and this is the result of our efforts. We are proud parents; it is a special occasion cake for sure. Made from jumbo lumps of blue-swimming crab, these cakes have so much meat they aught to have their own shell, and they are delicately seasoned so the natural crab flavor shines forth. Thaw in the refrigerator, brush with butter, and bake in a preheated 375 degree oven for 25 - 30 minutes to heat thoroughly to an internal temperature of 165 degrees. Serve with an accompanying sauce and salad.
